If you are insecure about the body grooming process and are not comfortable about his subject "STOP READING THIS NOW". The best "personal" trimmer yet
I want to start this review by saying, I love this item. I want to then say, I don't believe there is a product out there yet that doesn't hurt a little in certain places - even a regular manual razor can cause some discomfort in places. Also, I think this product, though it potentially trims everything should be used in combination with other items. I also use a G-290 and a straight edge razor.That being said the Bodygroom did an EXCELLENT job anywhere I used it. Conventional trimmers/clippers cannot be used underarms or around groin areas because the teeth are too wide apart. It will actually pull the skin and can cut. The Bodygroom has much, much smaller teeth and while there are still places I wouldn't try it out, it handles other spots like underarms and PARTS of the groin area with no issues. For $40, it's entirely worth the money.EDITED 5/22/06 - So many negative review on here talk about their facial hair. Let's see... the website, the owner's...

Does what it says
This product works exactly as it says it will. I was pretty skeptical, but it gives a close shave with minimal irritation. And no exposed blades to snag sensitve bits.Being able to use it in or out of the shower is a real plus, though it seems to work better dry.Update:With the amount of hair I have, I guess it's no surprise that this thing won't last a life time. I dropped my first BG one too many times in the shower and it finally gave out.Of course this product is so great at what it does, that it was a no brainer to replace it.The only complaint I have about the BodyGroom is how delicate the foil guard is. It is very easy to get bent or dented, and when that happens, you can get some unexpected snagging from the cutting blades. I had the old model for 2 years. The battery finally went. I would highly recommend this to any man. After reading lots of reviews, then buying it, i'm still happy.
So, i think i read just about ever single review for this product before buying it (the BG2040 model) and as well the model below this one the BG2030. What i really liked about the BG2040 is that all the attachments are on the shaver. this means that if i want to use the comb attachments to shave hair to a certain length i don't have to hunt for or even change anything on the shaver. Its al there already, and i love that! i really dont like buying shavers with like twelve attachments... lame. This is a very simple product and does a great job at shaving. i've used the shaver in every way it was designed for and for all areas of the body. And it really does a great job all over.Now as far as shaving "below the border" it was a bit frightening at first but after actually doing it, it was actually no worry at all. Worked great. Though you do have to still be careful. Don't expect that you can just go shaving down below with your eyes closed and half hazzardly expecting to come out...

Has become my everyday shaver
At first I was a little reluctant to like this shaver but after using it for a few weeks I really have come to like.As you can see in the pictures and read in the product description details on one end it includes an adjustable trimmer with five different settings to trim beards, mustaches, sideburns, etc.. The blade guard is also removable for up close detail work. On the other end you get a shaving head that pivots. I have used it for various areas of body hair and have been very happy with the results. I even used it for a quick facial shave (It was an emergency) and the results weren't too bad.Each end has its own on/off button so there isn't any confusion. The shaver is cordless and fits slides into a nice charging stand. The shaver itself has some stainless steel coverings with some black plastic and black rubber grips. Like everyone else says, works better than the stock blade it comes with. I reluctantly ordered this blade because it says BG2000, and mine is a BG2020, but the box it comes in says it's compatible with models ranging from BG2020 to 2029, so aside from the weird naming scheme, this thing is great.

As good as new
The original head just fell apart without any warning after about 6 months of weekly use. The new one pops in just as easily as the old one pops out and restores the shaver to like brand new. Aparently the head does not last long and it is important to keep a spare around. The shaver is probably the best and safetest shaver to use around certain sensitive body areas like arm pits.

Decided to look for a new beard and mustache trimmer when my trusty old Norelco Maverick TX-450 finally gave up the ghost and just quit running.
