I wish I had this 10 yrs ago!
This is my first epilator and I can't believe how awesome it is! I normally have the type of hair that is a pain to shave because after a clean shave, all it takes is one little goose bump and all the hair magically reappears. Now that I have this, my legs and underarms stay hair-free and I couldn't be happier. Just one word to anyone looking to buy their first epilator: it hurts like heck the first time you use it but after that first initial shock, you'll never go back to your razor! Also it takes some time to get rid of all the hair so you wont be silky smooth at first so dont worry if dont have that instant silky shave feel. I seriously wish I had this 10 years ago.

First Epilator that didn't make me cry!
I've actually tried epilators before in a similar price range (ie Braun) and the pain was so unbearable that it brought me to tears. I was so scared of these things that I absolutely stayed away from them for a few years. I have never tried professional waxing and have horror stories from home waxing. I've tried creams that smell and sting only to leave behind dark roots so visible that it was embarrassing. Shaving works well except the smoothness never lasted for more than a day.This Epilator works wonders for me. Both my husband (I made him try the other epilators in the past) and I have noticed much less pain with this model. I barely feel this on my legs. I use it on my arms and also barely feel anything. I have used it on hair approximately 1/4 inch long and it still doesn't hurt. Of course the optimal length is about 1mm. Well, it is a solution...
Well, I bought this because I am totaly sick of shaving. I have to shave every day and even then I am stubbly between shaves. First, shipping, was told it would take 5 days to get it and my order was processed faster so I got it in only 3 days. Packaging, not going to waste time with that. Got it out and charged it for 16 hours, took a very hot bath and steeled myself for the worst.... I've always prided myself on having a high tolerance for pain, and this device regularly tested my limits. On the lower legs, it wasnt bad at all, as long as I kept the skin TAUGHT. Certain areas, like armpits and the back of my knees cause me enough pain to force me to stop. Those are the negatives, which I suspect will decrease with continued usage. On the positive, this is a very easy to use device, especially if you remember to keep the skin taught, and the results LAST... I did one leg as a test when I first got this, 4 days later I was still smoother than 8 hours after shaving. all i can say is...

Good starter
I bought this because it was inexpensive and I'm looking for an alternative to shaving. All in all it's a pretty nice little model, but it takes a Looooooong time to do my legs (somewhere around 45 minutes a leg) I'm looking for a model with more tweezing units, but would recommend this one to someone who is looking for an inexpensive introduction to epilating!

not bad
it's not a perfect product, but it does what it's supposed to do more or less. it's definately not for use on the face (too big) and it would take forever to do your whole leg (too small). if you're looking to do your face pick a smaller product designed for use on the face, and if you're looking to do your whole leg pick a larger product with more tweezers. however, this is great (and at a reasonable price) for doing touch-ups in between leg waxing!

Remarkable!
This product is very cost effective. I am a first time epilator-user, and am very satisfied with this product. I LOVE this epilator, but unfortunately, it only deserves a 4. It works very well, and I am always amazed at how short that hairs can be for it to pull out, but it does only break off some hairs at skin-level, not by the root. Most of the time it pulls out by the root, and I find that the more I use it and familiarize myself with how it works, it breaks hairs less often. Also, follow the directions, and use the slower speed for thinner hair; the faster speed can break thin hair. (Tip: When a hair breaks, it makes a popping sound, so if you hear that, try using a different technique.) I don't know how often more expensive ones break hair, but for this low price, it works amazingly well.If you shave, and not sure if you'll like epilating, I DEFINITELY would suggest this one. It's not too expensive, so if you turn out hating it, it doesn't matter that much...

Not described well.
I bought this epilator today. Well the description on this site and the actual product are different. This one you CANNOT get wet. Nothing is perfect, so yes, some hair is going to get left behind. Also have to go over the same area over and over. Have patience, some hairs may not be long enough to get grabbed by the machine. Pain level, tolerable. Not comfortable in any way, shape or form. For the price I'd say is a good deal, especially compared to the time, money, and gas spent on going to a waxer.

Works great; less uncomfortable than I had imagined...
I was getting sick and tired of shaving, so I decided to give this a try. I have to say I am most pleased. I won't lie; there is some stinging, but overall the experience wasn't as uncomfortable as I imagined. I highly recommend doing it after a nice, hot shower. Your hairs will be softer and will come out much easier. I also recommend doing it at night the first few times you do it, so that any redness will be gone by morning. Using a good quality, unscented lotion like Lubriderm afterwards will also soothe any redness. I used this on both my underarms and my legs, and it got rid of even the most stubborn hairs. It's also easy to clean and you can use it while it is plugged into the charger if you don't want to run down the battery. It takes about the same time as shaving, but it gets the job done so much better. Great product!

Black Women- Good choice
Here's the protocol: first hot shower to get the pores open, then rigorously exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot scrub (you should still see color on your skin when you're done; don't be ridiculous). Epilate, using both sides of the epilator (hair grows different directions). Pluck remainders, just a few renegades if you followed directions. Exfoliate again, this time a bit more gently. Moisturize with something very gentle (I use Elizabeth Arden First Defense Advanced Anti-oxidant lotion or anything by Purpose (way cheaper)). I don't keloid, so I don't know if that's an issue. I have to do this about once every 7-10 days.

better than epilady
i had an epilady discrette that i used for only about a year before it essentially stopped working. (the cord now has to be held in one precise position for it to run, which is a pain.) while i was generally pleased with how it removed my hair, i didn't like how noisy it was, or how i often had to go over patches repeatedly to get all the hairs.after some comparative shopping, i went out on a limb with the Remington EP-4000 Smooth and Silky Epilator. it just arrived, so i can't speak to its longevity yet, but right away i like it better!*it is quieter*the head is wider and the little comby things can help lift the hairs (but only if you tip it the right way, which goes against the directions to hold it at a 90 degree angle, but oh well)*it is sturdier*it removes very small hairs*it can be charged and run up to an hour, cordless, thus eliminating the cord-twisting problems that ended the usefulness of my...

Smooth legs forever
I have used a form of Epilator for 18 years. I have used a Remington Epilator for 10 years. The hair on my legs does not grow much anymore. What does come in is very light soft & can't be seen & is soft to the touch.

Not bad for both epilator and razor combo
I have to admit that the first time I used this product as an epilator I was clenching my teeth because of the burning sensation of hair being pulled from my leg! But once you get used to it, it becomes more bearable and easier to use. Also, the razor head is really great! I had assumed I would get at the most a mediocre razor since this is primarily sold as an epilator, but the razor attachment works better than other electric razors I have owned in the past (a much closer shave in less time). And this is much more convenient because you can either charge it up and use it cordless, or you can use it with the cord (which I always end up having to do because I'm lazy and forget to charge it). The only reason I took a star away is because the epilator seems to miss some hairs, so I will have random hairs left over even after spending extra time in those areas. I have less hair on my legs
With Summer nearing I was dreading having to shave every day because my legs get irritated easily. Being Hispanic I have a lot of leg hair so I figured I'd give it a try. I have seen a reduction on the amount of hair on my lower legs. Of course you feel the pulls of the depilator when it pulls your hairs, but I take my time and it is not unbearable. I find that I was able to depilate the front of my legs but not the back of my legs as it was too painful. I do recommend to depilate at night because your legs will get irritated and a little red. Love this product and the extra head for touch ups.

Least Painful Epilator in Market
I've tried so many kind of epilators, Braun, Emjoi, Remington, Philips. I must say this is the least painful epilator I've ever used. There is no epilator without any pain, let's face it, it will hurt, but it is not as bad as waxing. This Panasonic epilator works fast, does not pinch my skin, and do the job at least amount of time. This is the best epilator so far and I will keep using it.

Worth the money
Got this after my other Panasonic epilator retired. It is perfect. The dual heads make a more efficient epilation. I didn't adapt well doing it at the shower, i felt that the foam didn't help and the water actually made the hairs stuck on the skin. Outside however, it is all I've ever asked for. The shaving head has a little grooming comb that works wonders. Overall I'm suggesting this one to all my friends!

First Timer, Slightly Impressed
I bought the Panasonic ES-WD51-P Epiglide Ladies Wet Dry Epilator on Amazon using my husband's account because he has prime, but I wanted to review it on mine.I have been looking for an alternative to shaving for quite some time but had never found anything that got results. For reference I am in my 30's and have very thick hair. In a word ITALIAN. I was an hour late to my own wedding because the hair stylist was not prepared for the thickness of my hair.I had heard of epilators before, my mother would tell me horror stories of my aunt and the Epilady. So I had dismissed them early on. I tried Nair, and found despite horrible chemical burns the hair was still there. So I gave up..Then one day I was looking for a new car...
